The Look of Stone, Without the Weight

Lightweight architectural mouldings that replicate the appearance of traditional cast stone detailing — cornice, coping, quoins, cills and more — manufactured in Wales since 2003.

Why Lightweight Instead of Cast Stone?

Traditional cast stone detailing is heavy, which means it needs cranes or mechanical lifting to install, adds structural load the substrate has to be designed for, and carries a real risk of site damage during handling. Lightweight mouldings replicate the same classical detailing — cornice profiles, coping stones, quoins, window cills, string bands and more — using an EPS core finished with the approved VPI polymer-modified coating system, so the visual result is the same design language without those installation problems.

Because the profiles are light enough to handle manually, they can typically go up later in the build programme without holding up other trades — useful on tight residential and commercial programmes alike.

Engineered From Your Drawings, Not a Fixed Catalogue

Every profile is developed from your GA drawings and section details rather than picked from a generic range, with junctions and returns resolved before manufacture. Profiles are produced in-house using CNC routing at our Aberdare facility, giving consistent dimensional accuracy across an entire scheme.

Where Lightweight Stone Mouldings Are Used

We supply architects, main contractors and residential developers across residential, commercial and self-build projects UK-wide, with either supply-only or full installation service depending on what suits your site.

Common Questions

Does lightweight stone look different from real cast stone?

The finished profile is rendered or coated to match the design intent from your drawings — visual outcome depends on the finish specified rather than the core material itself.

Can these be used for listed building or heritage-style work?

We engineer profiles to match your drawings, including classical and heritage-style detailing — talk to us about your specific project requirements.
