About This Profile Family
Our window cills (also called sills) are a lightweight alternative designed to replicate traditional stone cills. Window cill profiles are supplied as surface-fixed (face-fixed) cills, bonded to the wall face under the window's own subsill, or as built-in or wall-head cills, which sit on the outer leaf under the window frame with square stop ends. Sizes cover window openings from 460mm up to 2260mm. Project-specific application guidance is supplied where required.

Supplied ready-coated with the Taylormade VPI polymer-modified basecoat. Our mouldings are designed to imitate real stone, finished either in a textured stone-effect finish or a smooth painted finish with the look of Portland stone. The finish is confirmed at technical-submittal stage to suit the agreed project finish and adjoining facade interfaces.

Finished Taylormade profiles are manufactured to -2mm / +2mm from the approved nominal dimensions unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Installation Guidance
- ·Sealant between the window cill and window profile (by others).
- ·Adjoining render (by others, or by our team where agreed) or facing brickwork as per project specification (by others).
- ·Profiles are normally fixed with a 3-strip adhesive bed and Insta-Stik secondary fixing. Mechanical fixing is rarely needed; where the size or complexity of a profile calls for it, this is reviewed at design stage.

Is it cill or sill?
Both spellings are used for the same thing. In the building trade "cill" is common. Most people searching online type "sill".
What types of window cill do you make?
