EPS Core — Sundolitt SE200

Nominal Density29–31kg/m3
Reaction to Fire (Uncoated Core)Class E — BS EN 13501-1
Cross Breaking Strength (kPa)250
Shear Strength Correlation (kPa)125
Compressive Strength at 10% of Deformation (kPa)200
Long Term Compressive Strength at 2% or Less Deformation (kPa)60

Reaction-to-fire performance of the uncoated EPS core is declared in accordance with the manufacturer’s current Declaration of Performance.

VPI Coating System

Taylormade profiles are factory coated using an approved VPI polymer-modified coating system suitable for EPS applications. VPI is Taylormade Facades’ preferred coating/render system manufacturer.

Base Coat Density1500kg/m3
At a Standard 4mm Coating6kg/m2

Decorative Top-Coats

An endless range of VPI decorative top-coats, consisting of varying styles and colours. Durable and weather resistant. Bespoke colour-matching services available to match existing facade components.

Reaction to Fire

Reaction-to-fire classifications apply to the complete tested or technically assessed construction only, and depend on EPS type and density, base coat, reinforcement mesh, primer, finish coat, application thickness, substrate and fixing method.

Current supporting evidence includes UK Technical Assessment UKTA-0836-22/6381 (British Board of Agrément) for the VPI RHÉATHERM 600 system. Where a project requires a specific reaction-to-fire classification, Taylormade Facades will confirm the appropriate build-up and supporting technical evidence at specification/submittal stage.

How Our Profiles Are Fixed

The general fixing sequence used across our standard profile ranges. For the full breakdown by profile type, download the Fixing & Installation Guide below.

Typical fixing principle shown — bed-bonded to the substrate with the approved VPI basecoat, with supplementary mechanical fixing where specified for the project. Exact fixing centres, adhesive coverage and substrate preparation are confirmed in writing at technical-submittal stage and vary by profile type, size and substrate. Always refer to the specific product data sheet and Fixing & Installation Guide before installation.

Taylormade Facades profiles are bed-bonded to a sound, prepared substrate using the approved VPI polymer-modified basecoat, with supplementary mechanical fixing incorporated where specified for the project. VPI-approved reinforcement mesh is included where required by the coating system, junction design or profile geometry, before the decorative top-coat is factory or site applied. Substrate type, adhesive coverage, mechanical fixing and render system compatibility are confirmed in writing for every project — this drawing shows the general principle, not a project-specific detail.

General fixing sequence shown. Fixing method varies by profile type and substrate — always refer to the specific product data sheet before installation.

Profile-to-Profile Joint

The joint between adjoining Taylormade manufactured elements — clean, accurately aligned and treated using the approved jointing method.

Decorative / False Joint

An architectural groove or expressed joint formed for appearance only — not a substitute for a required structural or substrate movement joint.

Structural / Substrate Movement Joint

A joint designed to accommodate movement of the underlying structure or façade. Taylormade profiles and coating systems must not rigidly bridge these unless a specific approved detail is provided.

Supporting substrates must be structurally sound, stable, correctly prepared and suitable to receive the specified profile/coating system. Taylormade profiles should not be installed over defective, unstable, contaminated or inadequately prepared substrates, and installation does not correct or accommodate structural defects within the supporting construction.
